Valentine’s Day is almost here! It’s time to make some plans. For those of you reading this, I congratulate you for thinking ahead. As you know, some people wait till the last minute. And that often ends in disappointment.
Here are 10 romantic ideas for a hot Valentine’s Day for you and your partner.
1. Have breakfast in bed.
Who doesn’t love breakfast? Make something special. How does Red Velvet Crepes sound? Heart-Shaped Pancakes? Raspberry Scones? Cannoli French Toast? Check out these recipes and more.
2. Plan a romantic weekend or overnight getaway.
BedandBreakfast.com is one of our favorite websites. Besides getting general information about the homes, you can see pictures of the different rooms and find out what amenities they have. Call the B & B ahead and they’ll even make reservations for you at a romantic restaurant.
3. Write her a song or a poem.
Get creative. Write her an original song or poem. Read or sing it to her. Give her the words and a picture of the two of you in a frame.
4. Schedule the day off and go on a day trip with your loved one.
Plan an activity your partner would enjoy and surprise him with your thoughtfulness. It could be an art gallery, a museum or a vineyard.
5. Cook a romantic dinner (or order in).
Set the scene, play some romantic music, dance together and then have your meal with candles, roses and candy. Check out 35 Romantic Love Songs Perfect for Valentine’s Day.
6. Stay in and watch a romantic movie.

7. Help her relax.
For those super romantic guys: Draw a warm bubble bath for her before she gets home. Leave a trail of rose petals from the front door up to the bathroom. Have flowers, soft music and a beautiful card waiting for her on the tub. How about a massage after the bath?
8. Spice things up in the bedroom.
Every couple gets into routines. Do something new and different that your partner wouldn’t expect. Get some new toys. A sexy new outfit is always a hit.
9. Give the small gifts that matter.
For some it’s not the big gestures but the small gifts of love that matter most. Leave little sticky love notes everywhere they will see them (the bathroom mirror, inside the kitchen cabinets, on the refrigerator, in their car…) A handwritten card with your sentiments goes a long way.
10. Chocolate is always a hit.
Just make sure you get her favorites. If you want something unique just google unique valentine’s chocolates. I found some really interesting ideas.
