“Cheers” to Your Relationship in 2010

OMG, another year gone by! New Year's is the time to pause, reflect and review the past year; and to set our intentions for the next year. What Relationship Resolutions would take your relationship to "extraordinary"? Engage your partner in planning for the best relationship year ever. Together, brainstorm responses to:"What actions can we plan for this year to increase our connection - our emotional and erotic intimacy?"Here are some examples:

* Spend 20 minutes a day together communicating. This means no kids, no TV, no computer and no excuses.

* Have a "date" once a week, alternating responsibility for planning them. The dates don't have to be expensive. Check out our FOX news interview on "Cheap Dates."

* Plan to make love more frequently. Though planning doesn't sound romantic, busy lives make it necessary.

* Make reservations now for 3-4 weekends next year to go away, just the two of you. We found that even one night away rejuvenates intimacy and it's great to have something to look forward to. Check out www.BedandBreakfast.com.

With so much going on - jobs, kids, parents, life - relationships can inadvertently be put on the back burner. If you don't plan and take action, another year will go by without increased intimacy. Our personal Relationship Resolutions include: spending more time alone without the kids, taking more "day-cations" or one-night romantic getaways and planning our 20-year Anniversary Trip - the one that never happened (it's now 21 years) – see what we mean!We wish you and your family a very joyous and healthy New Year and look forward to supporting you in taking your relationship to extraordinary in 2010!Have you and your partner made any Relationship Resolutions yet?
