Give a Holiday Gift from the Heart

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. ~ Helen Keller

Can't figure out what to give your partner this holiday season? In these difficult economic times, finding a meaningful gift for your partner without breaking the bank may be challenging. How about a gift from the heart? These are gifts of love that will be cherished not only this year but for many years to come. Here are five ideas that cost little money and will make your partner feel rich in love:

  1. Write a love letter. Between Hallmark and e-cards, we don’t write cards or letters much anymore. A handwritten love letter from the heart is the greatest gift you can give.
  2. Create a relationship collage. Find pictures of the best times in your relationship over the years. Put them together and frame it.
  3. Create love coupons. Put together a book of vouchers for acts of service that your partner will appreciate: a massage, washing the car, doing a chore that he/she usually does, taking care of the kids so he/she can sleep in.
  4. Plan a romantic night. Send the kids out, make dinner for your partner, and watch a romantic movie together.
  5. Create a book of famous love quotes. Write one on a page and describe why that quote reminded you of your partner or your relationship.
